♥ petal pusher.

how was your holiday weekend?
nick and i spent our saturday cooking out (and mostly eating)
at our friend's lovely home. they moved in just last year, and
i am in love with the way they decorated and the idea of
having a little space to call your own :)

their artwork, in particular, caught my eye-
and after asking about the origin of it,
i knew i had to share it with you!

these pressed flower ladies are made from a group of artisans called
arte comasagua. made in the coffee-producing mountain range of
comasagua, el salvador, these art pieces are created from
fresh flowers that are indigenous to the area.

purchase of this artwork not only helps those whose jobs
were affected by the 2001 earthquakes in el salvador,
but also helps to develop female entrepreneurs as well :)

beautiful artwork & helping women?
sounds like a win/win to me!
